Cooking is education and eating at the table is a good way to teach kids about respecting food, learning to be responsible for their own bodies, and teaching them the art of conversation, manners, and pleasure.

Cooking is a social act that reveals ourselves, our attitudes and behaviors, and telltale characteristics.
Cooking is transportive. It helps us relive our childhoods through favorite foods and people, say Grandma’s coffee cake, and brings us to places where we’ve eaten memorable dishes, perhaps a pastry in Paris or a grilled fish along a lake.
